Could this be a scam? Embcc.com is an online patient payment portal utilized by internists (hospitalists), licensed physicians authorized to treat inpatients, hospitalized patients. Our providers are independent of the facility where. The simplest, most secure healthcare payment experience possible.
Customers aren’t given their bills or information in a timely manner and it appears as a billing scam. This situation has raised serious doubts in my mind. Afterwards i was on my medical insurance website looking at eobs (explanation of benefits) for other recent medical bills. I happened upon the ct scan one and was happy to see that i.
After checking with my insurance i discovered that this second bill was. After a few days i received a second bill from embcc (no clue what this is) for services provided during the same visit. Just ignore random phone calls, there's nothing else to do. Responding to the calls only causes them to sell your phone number to other scammers/spammers/cyber criminals.
They often code bills improperly.
