Considering upgrading your tacoma’s tires to 265/70r17? If you have 265/65/17 stock tires you can put 265/70/17 tires on without issues. If you go to 275/70/17 that changes the height and the width of the tire enough to where it will.

Hello to all of my fellow tacoma owners.
A few people have told me that size will rub and i’ll definitely. Dont do what i did with my other truck, i traded 15 inch rims with 32's for 17 inch rims with 315 70 17's. From the research i have. I have a set of 265/70/17 duratracs and a set of 255/85/16 maxis bighorns, and i get the same gas mileage with each, sometimes better with the 255's.
I just put 265/70/17 nitto a/t on my 06 dc and have no rubbing issues and that's on a 9 wide aftermarket wheel with 5.5 backspace. You'll be surprised how much bigger a 70. I just recently purchased a white 2021 trd sport and i want to add taller tires without installing a lift kit.
